Gisheke is the latest addition to be partnered with Muraho Trading Company. Only built after the 2017 harvest, Gisheke is owned by Zoe Trading Ltd. and operated by the team at MTCo. The production team of MTCo oversees operations at Gisheke to ensure the level of quality is consistent with MTCo’s stations.

The view at Gisheke is more than a little spectacular. Gisheke overlooks Lake Kivu and Idjwi Island in the Democratic Republic of Congo with 40% of cherries being delivered by boat from nearby Bushungwe Island. Also located just around the corner from Kilimbi, the potential for quality cherries has already been well established. As the road to the station is yet to be built, access to the station is by boat and makes for a very picturesque arrival for visitors.

2018 will be Gisheke’s first harvest and we can’t wait to see the development of the relationship with MTCo and the realisation of the station’s full potential.
